about

Beach Vacation started out as a high school band, formed by Tabor Rupp and John DeAvilla. The band members were just 16 or 17 when their first EP, "Maritime", was released on Dufflecoat Records, followed, one year later, by a wonderful split 7" shared with Afraid Of Stairs and released on Jigsaw. But, after band members moved, went to college or started to work, Beach Vacation's activity was put on hold and it was not until 2018 that Tabor and John reunited to continue as a duo.
What comes next is this album, released at the end of last year on cassette on the Slovakian label Z Tapes, a real breath of pop air, which accompanied us and made us feel good during the lockdown. Influenced by Wild Nothing, Beach Fossils and Craft Spells, the Seattle group offers with "I Fell Apart" little pop jewels, perfect for the summer holidays.
It is now reissued on CD and digital with two bonus tracks.
